Ford's Still Bubbling... Hayden's Still Progressing

I just wanted to give you a quick update... Ford is still on his bubble c-pap and off the ventilator. That makes my heart so happy to say that. Every time I see him now it brings happy tears to my eyes. He seems so comfortable and is breathing good. We are praying once his steroid therapy ends tomorrow, he will still be doing great.

Hayden is still fighting a little UTI infection and we are hoping it will be gone soon. He is still learning to eat and doing really great sometimes. Hopefully soon he will be off his oxygen and eating like a champ.

It's been a long couple of days, months really... so we are going to get some rest and be back at the hospital bright and early!
We appreciate your prayers for the boys and we hope you'll keep them coming.
Sincerely,
Dana, Trey, Ford and Hayden

Wonderful, wonderful news!! Thanks so much for the update. We think of you so often and are praying for Ford & Hayden daily, but have been praying extra hard for little Ford. Also praying for you and Trey, as it takes very special people to endure so much with their children. When we have been in hospitals and seen parents with seriously ill children, we have always said how strong they are to be able to cope with so much. Even though we know that God is with us at all times, most any parent would change places with their child, just like our heavenly father did for us. Keep the faith and I know that you'll be home soon as a very happy family. Love from a GMET viewer.

Thanks for the most recent updates.
Our God has continued to answer prayers and is meeting the needs of your two beautiful boys. When you look back to when this journey began you can clearly see the hand of God in each step forward. Keep your eyes on Him and the miracles will continue to happen. Ford and Hayden have two amazing parents who know the Lord, and will continue to be strengthened through His grace. He will never forsake you, not now, not ever! Peace be with you.

Dear Hugheys,

3 months old and counting...what a lovely thing. I know these past months have been one hurdle after another but in the long run - three months is absolutely nothing compared to the joy the coming years will bring.

Bring it on! Seize the moment and tackle each new day.

Our love and prayers,

Pam J.

It is so wonderful to hear how the boys are doing. I have to tell you I have never experienced what you are all going through, however, I have twin nieces who were born at the same time and weighed around 1 pound each. They too stayed in the NICU for months and months but I am so glad to tell you they are very happy, healthy 5-year-olds. Hang in there and very soon you can give your boys some very big hugs and kisses.

Miracles still happen, and this is proof of it! I pray strength for you both and remember from a mother of twins myself, to learn to say yes....yes....yes....a rested parent is a more productive parent. Great job, just know we are praying for you all!! God is good.

Oh, Honey Hush! I know you are both so excited to have Hayden with you. We are overjoyed that one goal has been accomplished!

That little 'ole Ford better get on the band wagon. I know he will - it will just be at God's pace.

It was wonderful to see you, Dana. I certainly have missed seeing you. I have been able to see Trey every now and then and have always been grateful to receive news from your family.

This week-end is the Mint Julip. It will not be the same without you there.

My prayers and wishes are with you ALL,

Pam J.

What a BEAUTIFUL site to see!
Very soon both of these little sweeties will be at home where they belong!
Never any doubt all of these prayers would be answered. Just took time.
Thank you so much for taking time out of your extremely hectic schedule and giving us pictures and updates. Very thoughtful of you both.

Hi Hugheys

You propbably dont remember me. I met you when I worked in Tyler. I emailed you ever now then just to say "Hi Dana" I just wanted to let you know that I have been praying for Ford and Hayden. Its wonderful news about "homecoming" at last. Soon your boys will be together playing with their Dad who I know loves them very much. I relized the other day, how God is working in your life. Your story is a true testimony of how our Lord works in our lives. He is keeping his graceful hand of love on Ford and Hayden. He is giving you the strength and courage during these hard times. Maybe someone else who needs God's loves will learn from Hayden and Ford. I pray for you everynight and you are always in my thoughts.
God Bless

I am so happy that your boys are doing so well. Cooks Children's Hospital is a wonderful hospital! I know from experience. My grandson was there for almost 2 years.Dr.Hadeed was his wonderful pulmonologist (who he still sees periodically). My grandson is now in first grade and doing great (living a very normal life). We have truly seen the hand of God working in his life. We are truly thankful to God for all that he has done!We could not have made it without God's strength and the prayers of so many people.Wish you much happiness with your boys.
